Working for Roland
Care Homes provide residential care of the highest standard in five homes in the UK. Our employees are the front line team who receive a rewarding experience by helping those who use our services. Previous experience is not essential, as training will be provided and we will value the work ethic, personality and attitude of mind you bring to your working life. Work will be allocated on a Rota basis and all employees are required to do some night shifts.

Regulatory Requirements
At Roland we take our legal and regulatory responsibilities very seriously. As part of your application you may be asked some questions that will allow us to ensure that we are meeting our responsibilities and ensuring that our applicants are treated fairly. All positions within Care Services will be subject to the receipt of a satisfactory Disclosure Certificate from the Criminal Records Bureau or Disclosure Scotland.

Rehabilitation of Offenders
Owing to the nature of the work for which you are applying, jobs and assignments are exempt from the provisions of Section 4.2 of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Applicants are therefore not entitled to withhold information about convictions, which for other purposes are spent under the provisions of the act. Failure to disclose such convictions could result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Any information given will be completely confidential and will be considered only in relation to the position for which you have applied.

Your health
All applicants offered employment will be asked to complete a health questionnaire and may be required to undergo medical examination.

All job offers with Roland will be subject to confirmation that the applicant is legally able to work in the UK. Evidence supporting this will be required from all successful applicants prior to commencement of employment together with Identity Cards, where applicable. Citizens of the UK and EEA will be required to demonstrate their right to work in the UK.

In certain cases it may be possible for Roland to sponsor a successful candidate in maintaining their visa allowing them to continue to work in the UK and transfer their employment to Roland. However no employment can commence until all visa formalities have been formalised.
